8 months

The other night while we were brushing our teeth, Jordan turns to me in all seriousness and says, "Well, we've been married for almost 8 months now.. I guess its about time that I let myself go..."

First of all, I know he wasn't serious, that's just the kind of guy he is. Funny! (Seriously, when I watch King of Queens I see us instead of Doug and Carrie. Gotta love Jordan for getting me hooked on the show to begin with!) I laughed for 30 straight minutes after this was said and it reminded me of why we are so perfect for each other. He can make me laugh hysterically. Others might wonder what it so funny, but we get each other.

Being married to Jordan for 8 months has been an adventure. We've laughed, cried, had some pretty amazing moments and had some pretty disastrous moments (Wall-E escaping and destroying the entire house while we were gone would be one of them!). While attending our first marriage conference in February, we learned that what keeps families close is "camping trips", also known as Planned Disasters. We have had plenty of those so far, and they can keep us laughing for hours!

Our closeness has exceeded all of my expectations. I have never felt this close to another human being in all of my life and I never thought it was possible. God has brought us closer together through these past 8 months and undoubtedly He has brought us closer to Him. I am so thankful!
